The Wharf by Carol Ericson is the third book in the Brody Law series It has a fast moving plot with lots of twists that kept me turning the pages Ryan Brody is a great hero and I loved his connection with Kacie This is a great read and I am looking forward to The Hill to see how this series ends. I am really enjoying this series by Carol This is book 3 and is Ryan s story He is the police chief of a small town outside of San Francisco but comes into San Fran to help out the true crime write, Kacie She wants to find out who the serial killer is that killed her mother but doesn t tell Ryan that because she feels it s his father Ryan wants to work with her to expose who the real killer was many years ago and exonerate his father who he feels was unjustly accused Kacie is threatened almost from the get go and she thinks it s because she s a true crime writer so it s probably from the other books she has written The attacks increase and thankfully, Ryan is always there to save her Of course Ryan finds out that she is the daughter of one of the killer s victims and that doesn t go over well They begin to really work together but the attacks escalate I liked the ending of the book and the relationship Ryan and Kacie had I am looking forward to the conclusion in book 4 Carol writes such great series and the characters are always well developed #READ KINDLE ⚤ The Wharf (Brody Law, #3) ë True Crime Writer Kacie Manning Vowed To Expose The Serial Killer Suspected Of Murdering Her Mother And She Was Going To Use The Killer S Son To Do It But Ryan Brody Wasn T At All What She ExpectedThe Sexy Police Chief Hoped Kacie Could Clear His Father S Name, Never Expecting The Beautiful Journalist To Have Other Motives Then Her Life Was Threatened, And Ryan S Protective Instincts Kicked Into Overdrive Now, As His Past Came Back To Haunt Him And Kacie, Ryan Had No Choice But To Find Out What Really Tore His Family Apart Twenty Five Years Ago It Was A Truth He Had To Face If He Wanted To Keep Kacie Safe And Maybe Even In His Life Carol Ericson weaves in another story of the Brody brothers and their quest to clear their father s name of being a serial killer This time Ryan Brody is working with Kacie Manning to write a book about the Phone Book Killer He s hoping it s what s needed to clear his father s name, but Kacie has a totally different agenda She wants to prove his father is guilty of being the serial killer that took her mother s life. But, Kacie and Ryan connect physically from their first encounter when Ryan saves Kacie s life Then Kacie finds herself a target and Ryan puts himself in charge of her protection Unfortunately, the secret of Kacie s true purpose in writing her book weighs heavily between them.Carol Ericson has managed to weave plots together to keep you guessing who the bad guys are and who the good guys are People with answers keep turning up dead Will they ever find out who the real Phone Book Killer is Will they ever find out why Ryan s father jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge I, for one, will anxiously be awaiting the conclusion of the Brody story with The Hill I would heartily recommend The Wharf for a good page turning fun book to read It will make you want to read other Brody Law books. This is the third book in the Brody Law series I didn t know that when I first decided to read it, the book was a gift I thought this book was pretty good I thought the prose was great, the story had a nice flow to it Shockingly, I could have done without the love scenes The story was really good on its own, and I think the loves scenes made it stall a bit, even if they did serve a purpose no spoilers here lol I would categorize this book as a beach read I am pretty interested in seeing where this series goes from here But, as I said before, this is book three and I feel kind of cheated by not knowing what led to this I will say, that not knowing anything from the start, the previous books don t seem necessary at this point this book touched on previous cases the other characters dest with, so you kind of get the gist of it.Happy reading In Erickson s romantic suspense novel, true crime writer Kacie Manning is determined to expose the serial killer suspected of murdering her mother and she s willing to use anything to accomplish that, including police chief Ryan Brody As the son of the alleged serial killer, Kacie initiates a plan of action but is surprised when Ryan is nothing like she expected him to be Ryan, on the other hand, has high hopes that Kacie will clear his father s name, never once suspecting the journalist to have motives of her own But when her life is threatened, the cop in Ryan kicks into high gear and as the past comes back to haunt him and Kacie, Ryan is forced to take a closer look at his family and uncover whatever secrets they might be hiding.Fast paced, hard to put down addition to the Brody Law series. This mysterious romantic novel was written to entertain the reader The Wharf defiantly fulfills its purpose This is a great and fast read A boy grew up thinking his father was a killer that committed suicide When he and a novelist get together they discovered there is to the story there is many unanswered questions Questions about cookies murder, his dad s suicide, kacy being locked in a sauna and much In the end it was kacys dad that was the killer This book was great it had wonderful imagery, but had some grammar errors I highly recommend this book She had no intention of making him wait that long Despite her revulsion toward all things Brody, she couldn t deny the trust this man fostered in her bones Ericson, 29 The Wharf Brody Law 3 is Ericson at her best The book s suspense plot reads like a thriller movie, one big moment leading to the next The overall arc of the series plays a huge role in this book, and the end leaves you wishing the conclusion book, The Hill, was out now.Police Chief Ryan Brody is a great character He s a little less gruff than his brothers and when he falls for true crime writer Kacie Manning, he falls hard Ericson blends the romance and intrigue perfectly in The Wharf She doesn t rush the romance Instead it grows naturally from the time the two main characters spend together.Looking forward to the final installment in the series I can t wait to find out the truth Crime writer Kacie Manning is writing a true crime story about her birth mother s murder She seeks the help of sheriff Ryan Brody to help with her investigation of the old case Ryan s father was the prime suspect in a series of murders, including that of Kacie s mother Ryan s father committed suicide before charges were brought against him Perhaps now that so much time has passed, the true facts will come to light. The Brody Law series from Carol Ericson continues to sizzle with Book Three, The Wharf Once again combing suspense and sensuality with scintillating results, the author continues the hunt for The Phone Book Killer and the truth surrounding respected San Francisco police officer Joseph Brody s supposed guilt and suicide Brody s four sons were devastated by the implication of their father being a serial killer, and his suicide via a leap from the Golden Gate Bridge was a stunning loss Small town police chief Ryan Brody, along with his three brothers, has never believed his father s guilt, nor has he ever accepted that his father took his own life Determined to find the truth to bring justice to his father s name and peace of mind for his family, Ryan agrees to work with crime journalist Kacie Manning to unearth the secrets of the killings and bring the facts to light What Ryan doesn t know is that Kacie has secrets of her own her birth mother was the killer s first victim Kacie was later adopted by a family who moved to Seattle, Washington Back in San Francisco, Kacie is certain that Joseph Brody was the murderer, and she intends to use any means necessary including manipulating Ryan Brody to find the answers she seeks What Kacie never anticipated was the electric chemistry that would ignite between Ryan and herself, and she is caught between duty and desire Ryan fell for Kacie the first time he saw her when he rescued her from a near miss attempt on her life When he discovers Kacie s hidden agenda, will he forgive her deceit If the real killer is found and all is revealed, will Kacie be able to live with the consequences Will there be a chance for a happy future for Ryan and Kacie A recommended series for lovers of thrilling romantic suspense.Review Copy Gratis Author
